Whistler - Winter 2007

Here's some photos from our Whistler trip this year - it was a full house - The Markwell's, Schneider's, Holliman's minus a child, the soon to be Upston's, Paul, Jolanta and Geoff and I - all packed in a condo for the weekend. It was a lot of fun having little feet and ears all around - we were mostly on our best behavior. It was a good thing that the families were on one side and the childless adults were on the other.....with a door that shuts in between!
It was great catching up with everyone and enjoying some quality time with our best peeps. As always, Ken did a great job finding a place that holds our exponentially expanding group. Who knew that just a few years ago, the core Whistler group of about 7 people would explode into 17 on this trip. The times of craziness and partying have gone by the wayside and we are now enjoying Whistler in a different way - watching the kids take skiing lessons and enjoying warm drinks and cigars by the firepit at the Chateau.
The weather was great, but the skiing was a bit icy. Geoff was hoping to ski, but just didn't think it was a good idea after bouncing off the hood of a truck a week prior. Instead, we had a nice hike through the woods, seeing large animal tracks along the way.
I, as usual, enjoyed getting away and relaxing at one of my most favorite places in the world.
